Trinity's Pastor

Rev Shelly Coulter Daigle

Rev. Shelly Coulter Daigle

Welcome to Trinity United Methodist's webpage and my bio. I am Shelly Coulter Daigle, pastor of Trinity. As a church we seek to welcome people, no matter their life journey, into an authentic environment where God is worshiped and lives our changed. And it is a joy to work and serve alongside such faithful people. As a pastor, I enjoy preaching and leading worship as well as working with our music and arts after school program. I also appreciate the relationships that are possible in a community of faith. I hope that we can continue to build healthy relationships with each other and with those in our community and world.

I have spent a good portion of my life in Green Country but have had the opportunity to study abroad and live in a variety of places. I graduated from Collinsville High School and earned my bachelor of arts degree from Baker University (Baldwin City, KS). During my college years, I spent a semester abroad studying at Harlaxton College near Grantham, England. I earned my masters of divinity degree from Claremont School of Theology (Claremont, CA). I served as the Associate Pastor at Centenary United Methodist in Lawton, OK from 2004-2008. In addition to my pastoral duties, I serve on the Leadership Development Team as the secretary and the District Committee on Ordained Ministry.

In 2011 Adam and I were married at Trinity. Adam works as a copy editor for the Tulsa World. Adam is also an active Catholic who regularly attends the Church of the Madalene as well as Trinity. We recently have enjoyed making our new house into a home through gardening. We enjoy hosting family and friends for dinner (Adam is the cook of the family). We love visiting our family both here (Shelly's) and in Louisiana (Adam's). We enjoy watching sports on TV and in person but watch out if the New Orleans Saints play the Washington Redskins--then the house is divided. We also enjoy giving back to our community.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will join us in worship soon.
